Manuel A. Arroyo

Manuel A. Arroyo is a member of the firm’s Real Estate, Corporate and Commercial Litigation departments. Prior to joining ShapiroCroland, Manuel founded and operated several businesses, through which he gained extensive experience in both corporate and real estate transactions. Manuel has been instrumental in the formation, purchase and sale of businesses as well as transactions in commercial and residential real estate, where he handled lease negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, multiple 1031 exchanges and a multi-unit residential condominium conversion.

Building on his broad business experience, Manuel’s law practice concentrates on transactional and litigation matters, with particular emphasis on commercial real estate, mergers and acquisitions, finance, joint ventures, reorganizations and succession planning strategies for closely held businesses. 

Upon graduation from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Manuel obtained a master’s degree from Harvard University and a law degree from Rutgers School of Law in Newark.  While in law school, Manuel served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Rosemary Gambardella in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey, where he conducted research, prepared legal memoranda, analyzed motions and assisted in drafting opinions on various issues under chapters 7, 11, and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code.
